EDITOR – It really is about time the organisers of events in Toti become aware that there are vegetarians in our midst who would appreciate being given an appropriate choice of food when attending the various functions, fairs, carnivals or markets in our area.
It is not difficult to cater for someone who does not eat meat. If we can do halaal, we can do vegetarianism.
Hats off to Warner Beach Primary School who offered vegetarian viennas in hotdogs at the event held at their school earlier this year. This however, is the only exception rather than the norm. How about inviting atleast one foodie stall-holder who would provide meat-less options at your event? Once the veggie train of thought is adopted, the possibilities are end-less – and the food can be no less tasty than conventional meat options.
