Nice day at beach spoilt by minority

We then had to call the police again as the taxis arrived with people standing on top of the bus and blasting out music.

EDITOR – It is party time again which is good as people need to relax after a stressful year but some do not know when to stop.

We live in a complex by the beach and once again this lovely spot was spoiled by the people partying from early morning until late on 1 January.

It was so bad at one point we had to phone the police, as we had I think what is called a convoy of streetracers that came at about 4pm and caused a snarl-up and almost a riot. We phoned Toti police who did not respond to our call as they had more serious crimes, which is fair enough, but the rude attitude of the officer was uncalled for. We then called CCPO who responded immediately. Their officer was polite and very efficient in his duties. He promised to do another drive by later, which he did.

We then had to call the police again as the taxis arrived with people standing on top of the bus and blasting out music. I’m sure if the police had responded, they could have arrested every driver for drunk driving, drinking in public and the rest for public indecency and the minor offence of letting of fireworks. Once again a nice day spoiled by the minority.
