Toti AC shines

The women must dress up in red and the men athletes in green all in the Christmas theme.

WITH the road running league coming to the end of the season for Toti Athletics Club, members look forward to the 15km Yellowwood Park race on Sunday, 1 December and then the Illovo 15km Christmas run on Sunday, 8 December.

The club wishes all the best to its junior athletes who are participating in the sub youth track and field champs in Potchefstroom over the weekend.

A reminder that tickets for the dinner awards evening on Saturday, 30 November at Lords can be purchased from Zama, Belinda or Riaan at a cost of R15 for juniors and R50 for adults.

Toti AC running vest are available on Wednesday at time trials. This year’s awards and presentations will be extremely competitive.

The club has achieved some excellent results both in road, track and field and cross country. This year’s Comrades marathon saw Toti’s first woman Karen Sebrino finish in the top 20 overall among the women runners and Xolani finish in the top 100.

Toti AC had no less than 17 of its athletes represent KZN at the SA cross country championships held in Potchefstroom, with Noel Saville bringing home a bronze medal.

The junior athletes who competed at various sub youth track and field leagues produced some wonderful medals on many occasions.

Toti AC has served the running fraternity for over 38 years. It offers road running, cross country and track and field with a dedicated coaching staff of George, Riaan and Cecil ensuring that members, both juniors and seniors, are trained by the best.

The result the club has achieved can be attributed to the strong club structures, dedicated coaching staff and the many hours the athletes have put into the various disciplines.
