Partnerships key in victory for Amanzimtoti 4ths

Best batsman award went to Gustav.

ON Sunday Sunday, 9 February Toti fourths cricketers played against UKZN 3 at the ACC oval.

Toti won the toss and batted first, Renier and TP started the innings patiently and reached their 50 partnership.

Both Renier (16) and TP (21) got out trying to up the run rate, Roald (0) followed soon before Re-Juan (24) and Gustav (58) recorded the second 50-run partnership. As Re-Juan departed, Quinton entered with one thing on his mind – if it is in the ark, hit it out of the park and that he did. He was unlucky to end on 48 not out off 36 balls. Theo (1) and Verosian (1 not out) saw Toti 4ths scoring 199 in their alotted 30 overs.

Toti took to the field and each bowler bowled with discipline and took wickets at regular intervals. They bowled out UKZN for 80 in 19 overs, TP 3 overs 1/18, Roald 3 overs 1/7, Renier 3 overs 1/7, Gustav 3 overs 2/12, Verosian 3 overs 1/23, David 3 overs 1/10, Theo 1 over 2/3.

Best batsman award went to Gustav. Best bowler went to Theo and the thanks for coming award went to Donald.
