Raggies go pointless in crushing encounter with Toti XV
The second half saw Toti score two tries.

LAST Thursday evening, Scottburgh Old Boys, the Raggies, took on current log leaders, the Amanzimtoti Foaden Bowl XV in a league fixture at Hutchison Park.
The Toti side consists of rugby veterans whose average age is about 35 and weight around 100kg.
Toti, expecting an easy match were shocked in the first 20 minutes when the Raggies took the game to them and camped in their 22 metre area. Try as they might, however, they failed to convert this territorial advantage into points. Towards the break, the hosts got a very lucky bounce and crossed the whitewash for a seven pointer.
The second half saw Toti score two tries, converting one and slotting a penalty kick to bring the final score to 22-0. Although losing, the Raggies played an excellent game and anyone arriving after the match could easily have believed they were the victors. The man of the match awards were received by Travis Clarke up front and Sean Grant (backs), and a special award went to Tiaan Cloete who made it by half time, after rushing all the way from Phalaborwa to play in this match.
The Raggies’ next match will be against the Amangcesha Rugby Club this Saturday afternoon at the country club at 2.30pm
