Good times for RWFL athletes at weekend women’s race
Lizette will be doing the second leg of the triple challenge this week, that is the Longest Day event, 12 hours around a soccer pitch at Collegians Club in Pietermaritzburg.
THIS past Sunday Run Walk For Life (RWFL) Toti’s women athletes and some mixed up men were on the starting line of the ever-popular Totalsports women’s 10km and 5km run/walk.
This was all in support of the Pink Drive in aid of breast and prostate cancer.
They are doing a great job creating awareness and assisting people with cancer.
The runners and walkers all turned in good times. Well done to all. Lizette Botha claimed second prize in her age category – it seems to be a habit seeing her on the podium.

The new date for the Cansa Relay is 20 September. The event has a 5pm start on Saturday and goes through the night to Sunday at 5am. Five teams are entered thus far, with 10 members per team. Entries can still be accommodated. Put your names down to join in this prestigious event by calling Jan Botha on 082-290-4025 to honour those living with, who have died of or are survivors of cancer. No-one has risen to the challenge as yet.
