AMANZIMTOTI Tennis Club had a great turn-out of players for social tennis on Saturday afternoon, 13 September.
A warm welcome was extended to the four visitors who joined in. Some good tennis was played.
On Saturday, 20 September there will a mixed doubles round-robin tournament. Starting time is 1.30pm so be at the club by 1.15pm latest to enable the draw for partners to take place.
Entry fee is R20 per racquet. Details of the club championships to be played during October and early November are on the notice board.
Enter your names for the three events as soon as possible, to enable the match secretary to make the necessary arrangements for play. Each event will take place on Saturday afternoon, and will be played on a round-robin basis. Bellevue Tennis Club is holding a men’s and women’s doubles tournament on Sunday, 12 October at 8.30am. Check the notice board for entry details. Members will have noticed the lines on courts one, two and three have been painted. A huge vote of thanks is extended to Rob and Lynne Jack for making this possible, and to David, who after much coaching from Rob, did a great job of the painting.
