Elaine and co shine in twinkle trips bowls
On Saturday, 15 August the annual Mills Bomb Shellhole Bools day took place at Winklespruit and Amanzimtoti Bowling Clubs.

THE Caltex twinkle women’s trips were played at Winklespruit Bowling Club on Wednesday, 12 August.
Second session winners were Pamela Chalder-Royle, Sue Welsh and Linda McGregor.
The team of Elaine Critchlow, Estelle van der Merwe and Lulu Bingham from Winklespruit BC won the overall prize. The 100 board draw was won by Mardi Devali. Lulu Bingham won the spider and Sue Welsh won the mystery prize.
The Kwik Spar men’s trips were played on Thursday, 13 August. Second session winners were Gerald Chalder-Royle, Ken Baker and Gustav. Overall winners were Geoff van Belkum, Peter Labuschagne and Kokkie de Kok. The 100 board draw was won by Doug Walton.
On Friday, 14 August social bowls ended off with a divine dinner prepared by Clasina and John Powel. A huge thank you was conveyed to them by Di Kruger.
On Saturday, 15 August the annual Mills Bomb Shellhole Bools day took place at Winklespruit and Amanzimtoti BC. Bowlers and prospective bowlers enjoyed the day. Two teams playing at Winkle BC delivered the perfect end. The team of Steve Evenwel, Maureen Griffin, Tony Fitzsimmons and Sylveigh Ananiadis and the team of Duncan and Yvonne Wright with Dave Kemp and Jacqui Fouche, achieved a perfect eight in a single end. The WBC team of Elaine Critchlow, Harry and Lynette van Vuuren with Brian Bodley clinched the club runners-up prize.
Some club competitions were played during the week. Congratulations to Mac and Joyce Mackrory on their win over Freddy Hetterscheidt and Bessie Vergotinni, and Dries Snyman on his win over Harry van Vuuren in their senior singles match.
