Winkle BC club champs draw to a close
Congratulations to everyone who celebrated their birthday during the week.

WINKLESPRUIT Bowling Club’s 2015 club championship is coming to an end.
Most semi-finals are completed and the finals will be played on 26 September.
Club members are urged to support the club finals which will start at 9am.
Congratulations to the Winklespruit bowlers who participated in the annual Doug Watson tournament held at Margate Bowling Club over the weekend of 19 and 20 September. Although members returned with mixed results, it was an awesome experience for all.
Unfortunately due to rain the monthly Spur mixed 2-4-2 scheduled for Saturday, 19 September had to be cancelled. The next Spur 2-4-2 competition is scheduled for 17 October.
As from 2 October, summer social bowls on a Friday will start at 2.30pm, Wednesdays at 2pm and Saturdays at 9am.
Diarise the following: Social bowls on Friday, 25 September at 2pm and Wednesday, 30 September at 1.30pm. Saturday, 26 September it’s the monthly car boot sale at 8am. To avoid disappointment, book your space with Sandy Elliot on 082-466-6480 or Gwen Ellis on 084-626-9593.
On Saturday, 26 September it’s the club championship finals from 9am. Check the notice board for carded times.
Sunday, 27 September is monthly mixed trips bowls at 9am. Indicate your availability on the players list on the notice board.
Thursday, 1 October is the women’s Victory Kwik Spar trips at 9am. Saturday, 3 October at 9am is the club championship prize giving.
Congratulations to everyone who celebrated their birthday during the week. For those members who are ill, the club wishes you a speedy recovery. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
