Nail-biting finish in Sandra Cup tennis tourney

The club's development clinic is happening on Saturday mornings so all those children who are keen to learn the game should be at the club from 9am to 10am.

AMANZIMTOTI Tennis Club’s Sandra Cup tournament finally got underway at 1pm on Saturday.

Twenty-four players took to the courts to contest the trophy.

What an amazing afternoon’s tennis was played. Congratulations to the winners Beth Bender and Antony Eastes and runners-up Rogers Naidoo and Hanri Dowdles.

It was a nail-biting finish with just one point difference. Thanks to all the members who helped to make this a memorable afternoon. It’s back to social tennis on Wednesday, Friday mornings and Saturday afternoons until the summer league begins around April.

Madi and Gabriel will be there to show them all how it’s done. The club has some racquets available. Players are asked to wear suitable shoes.
