Winkle mixed trips this Sunday

Take note that the starting time for Wednesday and Friday social bowls is 2.15pm for 2.30pm, until further notice

WINKLESPRUIT Bowling Club’s overall winners in the women’s Caltex Warner Beach twinkle trips played on Wednesday, 13 April were Elaine Critchlow, Estelle Van Der Merwe and Bessie Vergottini.

The spider was won by Elaine Critchlow.

Heather Brown was the winner of the 100 board and Vera Broskie won the mystery prize. The men’s trips was played on Thursday, 14 April and overall winners were Paul Els, Brian Cox and Vish Studinski. Second session was taken by Denny Denysschen, Wessie van der Westhuizen and Herman van Zyl. Mike Joyce won the 100 board.

Bill Rawlinson was the winner of the attendance draw on Friday. It will be a carry over as he was not present.

There was a Friday evening meal which was enjoyed by all present. The club thanks Annalie for the enjoyable meal. This Friday, 22 April, the evening meal will be spaghetti bolognaise so put your names on the list on the notice board before Friday, for catering reasons. All are welcome.

Round one of the men’s interclub league was played on Saturday, 16 April. Winklespruit Bowling Club played against Wanderers and won on points.

Men who are playing in the men’s interclub league are to remember that round two will be played at Winklespruit Bowling Club on Saturday, 23 April at 1pm for 1.30pm. Members are asked to go along and support their team.

Mixed trips will be played on Sunday, 24 April. Tick your names off the list on the notice board to indicate availability. There will be a bring and braai after the game. There will be social bowls on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
