Tennis players relish club social

Members are to note that the men’s and women’s doubles league is due to commence on Saturday and Sunday, 30 and 31 July.

IT was not a good day for tennis at Amanzimtoti Tennis Club on Saturday but well done to the members who turned out for some social games.

The braai and get-together afterwards was a great success which was enjoyed by all.

Thanks to Alan for organising it. It was great to have Brenda Vermaak present from Australia.

The women’s midweek second team results from May/June league have at last been received. The team placed second in the second division with North Coast at the top by a small margin of six points. Well done on a great effort by the team.

The fixtures for the midweek league due to commence on 20 July have been received and will be posted on the noticeboard this week. The teams will also be confirmed this week. There is still time to put your name down if you wish to be considered for a team.

Members are to note that the men’s and women’s doubles league is due to commence on Saturday and Sunday, 30 and 31 July. Lists are on the noticeboard for entries. The club is committed to one men’s team and two women’s teams. The club’s development clinic is in recess for the school holidays and will recommence on the first Saturday after schools open.
