It’s all about watersports this weekend

Toti watersports enthusiasts and any youngsters keen to learn about paddling and lifesaving are invited to open days at Toti Watersports Club and various lifesaving clubs on the weekend.

Toti Watersports Club hosts an open day from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, 3 September.

The venue has changed from Toti Lagoon, which currently has no water in it, to the Illovo River picnic spot by the mouth. “We call on the Toti public to come and support the day. We are ready to go,” said coach Mark Barber.

On Sunday, 4 September Toti, Winkle and Warner Beach lifesaving clubs hold open days for all prospective nippers from the age of eight and above. The day starts at 8.30am and features an introduction to aquatic safety, sea awareness and beach safety.
