Uncontestable surf interrupts full Warner Beach bodyboarding contest

Conditions were tough but the good vibe on the beach made for exciting heats.

The Warner Beach Bodyboarding Club was proud to host its first bodyboarding competition of the year on Sunday, 28 January.

The event was well attended, with 11 heats scheduled for the day. Conditions were tough but the good vibe on the beach made for exciting heats. The event started with the super groms, the young board riders aged from seven to 13-years-old showing confidence as they paddled out, ready to do battle.

Following that heat was the boys and the men’s heat. Everyone gave it their all and a great day was had by everyone involved. Sadly the club had to call the latter half of the competition off, as the surf conditions were no longer contestable.

The club extends a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join and become involved in the positive lifestyle that is bodyboarding. For more information, call Mark on 083-387-8148.
