Winkle bowlers elated to be back on the bowling greens

Winklespruit Bowling Club’s (WBC) president and committee members are pleased with the support the club has been showing since the tight Covid-19 restrictions had been lifted by Bowls SA and even though Covid-19 controls are still in place, it is encouraging to see a good majority of members back on the green and enjoying a game of bowls.
The attendance draw was conducted recently and Rob Stewart was drawn out, but Rob was not present so the prize money carries over to the next draw.
The whiskey raffle was also drawn and was won by Freddy Hetterscheidt. The closing date for all club competitions is Sunday, 28 February. The lists for all Port Natal competitions are also on the board as well as the inter league games.
Upcoming competitions:
Saturday, 27 February: mixed trips – registration between 8.30am and 9.30am.
There will be a bring and braai after the game, the club will supply the fires. Refreshments will be on sale.
Thursday, 4 March: Winkle women’s trips – registration between 8.30am and 9am. Enter your name on the list on the board.
Social bowls take place every Wednesday and Friday, tabs in from 2pm to 2.30pm.
