Amanzimtoti tennis players socialise on the court
Tennis players are spoilt for choice in upcoming tourneys.
IT was back to social tennis on Saturday, November 13, at Amanzimtoti Tennis Club and the weather was great.
All courts were occupied most of the afternoon. La Lucia Tennis Club invites all clubs to participate in its tournament on Sunday, November 28. Details are on the notice board for those interested.
The 2021 Prokennex Ugu South Coast veterans tourney takes place from December 9 to 12.
Details are on the notice board for entries. Wednesday morning is still the club’s social day and last week there were eight players on the tennis court.
The club’s committee is planning its year end function which will take place on Saturday, December 4.
Confirmation of this will be within the next week. There is a beautiful painting done by a well-known local artist, Zelda Coetzer, up for grabs in a fundraising effort.
The painting is 900 x 700mm acrylic on canvas valued at R10 000. It is a must for anyone who appreciates fine art. Contact Zelda on 082 561 6807 or Joan Grossett on 084 455 1069 for tickets at R100 each.
All proceeds will go towards the upgrading and maintenance of club facilities. Ticket sales will close on November 30, with the draw taking place on Saturday, December 4.

The development clinic, usually run on Saturday mornings remains in recess until further notice.
