The Sharks attend Toti High’s sports prize-giving

The learners who were awarded for their achievements were excited to have The Sharks in attendance.

FORMER Amanzimtoti High School learner and owner of The Sharks, Marco Masotti, attended the school’s annual sports prize-giving recently.

The school was honoured to host Masotti as a guest speaker, along with professional Sharks rugby players Lukhanyo Am, Vincent Tshituka and Tendai ‘The Beast’ Mtawarira.

Masotti spoke about the impact his childhood friend had on his life, as well as the adventures he had growing up, his schooling and his life after matriculating from Amanzimtoti High School in 1985.

The main theme of his speech was to encourage the audience to uplift and support the people around them.

He said, “Do not forget those who played a role in getting you to where you are today, and those who supported you along your journey to achieve great things.”

As the evening progressed, learners were awarded for their achievements in their respective sporting codes of the school. “All the learners did extremely well for the first year back with no interruption. Amanzimtoti High School is proud of all the prize winners and would like to congratulate them and encourage them to keep on achieving great things,” said the school’s Zen Alderson.

The guests and learners were excited to have The Sharks in attendance. “These rugby players are a massive inspiration to the learners, and they play a pivotal role in encouraging them to do great things and go the extra mile in their sports to one day be an inspiration to others,” said Alderson.
