Cassel said this event was the final criteria event for selection of the national team (women and men gold division bowlers) who will be competing in the African Zone Championship 2024, which will be held in Pietermaritzburg at the end of June. “TBASA will be hosting seven African countries at this international championship,” she said.

Protea bowler and KZN Tenpin Bowling president, Andrew Cyster, said the final day was very competitive with a lot of strikes as bowlers fought for top positions.
