Tough race for resilient Amanzimtoti runner

With those who have run it calling it the toughest race in the world, the Harrismith Mountain Race is run in the Free State town of Harrismith, up the mountain, and then back down to town.

MONYA Bester from the Amanzimtoti Athletic Club is one of the athletes who will participate in the 15km Harrismith Mountain Race for a third year in a row on October 18.

Monya had ups and downs this year with her little boy being in and out of hospital, preventing her from training the way she should have. Nevertheless, she will participate and give her all to this race as she has in the previous years.
