ET Rapid Response and CCPO's annual golf day was a smashing success, with more than 130 golfers supporting the fundraising initiative.

IT WAS a day of camaraderie, fundraising and quality golf at the Amanzimtoti Country Club and Conservancy on November 29 where over 130 golfers took to the greens in support of ET Rapid Response and CCPO’s annual golf day fundraiser.

The community donned their golfers, readied their clubs and zipped around the country club in golf karts, combining raising funds to uphold the safety of Amanzimtoti and surrounds and a fun, relaxing day of golf.

ET Rapid Response’s Tony Lokker said the funds raised from the golf day go towards additions to and maintenance of the extensive camera network system around the Amanzimtoti area.

“We monitor in excess of 300 cameras at our control centre. The event was very well attended by local business with 133 players and all 18 holes had business sponsorship. Those involved have already asked to be part of next year’s edition,” said Lokker.
