Drug and alcohol tour to pitstop in Toti

60 Minutes team is achieving its goal of educating pupils about the dangers of drug use with their focus on prevention being better than cure

The 60 Minutes Drug and Alcohol Abuse Tour is back for its fifth year.

The 60 Minutes team is achieving its goal of educating pupils about the dangers of drug use with their focus on prevention being better than cure.

This year the tour will put in an appearance in Toti, with a visit to Kingsway High School. In addition, it will visit Umzinto Prison, Mcothoyi Secondary, Crawford College, Reservoir Hills Secondary and  Esizibeni Secondary.

Celebrity appearances will include Rock Mbambo, comedian and scriptwriter; Nolwazi Magwaza, East Coast Radio DJ; and Kgotso Dlamini and Londiwe Vilakazi, presenters of Twenty1 on 1KZN-TV. Their involvement is due to their understanding of the negative impacts that drug use has on youngsters and their dedication to prevent the growth of drug use.

The tour will kick start with a final rehearsal which will be open to the public. This will take place on the 12 March at Umkomaas Primary School Hall at 18pm to 19pm, the cover charge will be R20 for adults and R10 for children. The main tour will then be on the 14th, 15th and 16th March at the schools named above.
