Pandas to perform for Bobbi Bear’s benefit

This is going to be a Friday night fundraiser like no other.

Splash around and raise much-needed funds for Operation Bobbi Bear, while enjoying the super sounds of Durban band, Veranda Panda on 25 November.

“This is going to be a Friday night fundraiser like no other,” said Lisa Welsh of Creative Juice Events, which is hosting the event.

“Slip and slide the night away at Splash Waterworld to the awesome beats laid down by Veranda Panda and Kevin Louw, and all for a fantastic cause, as proceeds go to Operation Bobbi Bear.”

Veranda Panda is the creative combination of Liam Magner and violin maestro Jane Baillie, who offer a beat-mashing, party-making amalgamation of electronic music and live instrumentation. Throw in some vocals, a whole heap of energy and a mesmerising performance and you have Durban’s famed Pandas in action.

“Liam and Jane have a repertoire, style and energy unmatched by anyone in their field,” said Lisa.

Tickets cost R100 per person (U4s free). Tickets are not be available to buy on the night, you can only purchase them in advance through www.webtickets.co.za or from Pick n Pay. Numbers are strictly limited.

“Food and drinks will be available to purchase at Splash Waterworld. Upstairs there is a restaurant and pub, and there will also be a satellite bar on site for any liquor purchases. No alcohol or glass items will be allowed onto the premises,” said Lisa.
