SANBS and The Glen make magic

ON Sunday September 15, giving blood at The Glen Shopping Centre wasn’t just about donating blood but having fun while doing so.

Deep Fried Man (Daniel Friedman), comedian and musician, sang and did a few magic acts while donors gave their unit of blood.

“It’s an awesome way to begin Sunday,” said one of the donor’s, “and giving one unit of blood can save three lives.”

Kamantha Pillay, Public Relations Practitioner SANBS, was also on hand to encourage shoppers to donate. “We are hoping we do well today. Christmas and holiday time is fast approaching and our blood supplies will be greatly depleted over this period,” Kamantha said.
