Pensioner now paying less for TV license
SABC TV license were sending Frank letters, demanding full payment although he was not supposed to pay the whole fee

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – 72-year-old Frank Botese has been receiving letters of demand and some threatening to take legal action against him from the SABC TV License although he did not owe money.
After the COURIER contacted SABC Spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago, who acted swiftly to direct Frank’s query to the relevant authorities, Frank is now a happy man receiving help.
The elderly man from Glenanda has submitted the necessary documents to prove he did not have to pay all the TV license fees, like other pensioners, but continued to receive letters demanding payment.
On Friday June 4, Frank’s problem was resolved. He will no longer stress about receiving these letters as he will only pay a certain portion of the SABC TV license fee, like a pensioner is supposed to.
