Men who killed for a cellphone convicted

Moffatview SAPS are happy to announce the conviction of two men who murdered a human being just for a cell phone.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Two men were convicted of murder and sentenced last week.

This follows a successful arrest by Moffatview SAPS after a man was shot and killed for his cellphone, in October 2012, in South Hills. The verdict for the first accused is as follows: count one – 15 years for robbery; count two murder – not guilty; count three – eights years for theft; count four – four years for possession of firearm; count five – two years for possession of ammunition.

The verdict for the second accused is as follows: count one – 15 years for robbery; count two – 15 years for murder; count three – five years for possession of firearm; count four – two years for possession of ammunition.
