Cupcakes in honour of kids with cancer

Last year the school baked and sold around 300 cupcakes, however this year the challenge was to bake around 750 cupcakes!

HORIZON High School embarked on yet another cupcake drive this year in honour of the Kids with Cancer initiative.

Last year the school baked and sold around 300 cupcakes, however, this year the challenge was to bake 750 cupcakes. The target was met and a few students as well as educators decorated the 750 cupcakes and sold them to the students of the school. All proceeds went to the Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer.

It was an awesome initiative and a humbling experience. Roughly R3 750 was donated.

The school would like to thank The Cupcakes of Hope organisation (https://www.cupcakesofhope.org/) for supplying some of the cupcake cups, ambassador badges, balloons and flyers as well as the school’s management team for assisting with all the ingredients and the awesome kitchen staff who spent all day making cupcake batter and baking.
