Cleaning South of social ills

Judy Clements said they are in a process of registering as a Non-Profit Organisation.

THEY are a team of five and call themselves the Southside Angels. Their main aim is to offer themselves and help the community of South Hills.

Cornerlia Rudman, Judy Clements, Page Osbon, Lawrence Smit and Dennis Botha promised to be a breath of fresh air in their community. Some of their projects include: taking care of 40 families; handing out food parcels; finding a safe haven for babies; tackling child abuse; drug counselling and domestic violence – and they are available 24/7.

Judy Clements said they are in the process of registering as a non-profit organisation. “We help the community with almost anything. That is why we need building materials, so that we can build three rooms to keep children who we take care of. Some of the well-established organisations that we’ve worked with include: South Africa Search & Rescue, the police, clinics and social workers,” she explained.

Though they have sponsors for vegetables, most of the other necessities come from their own pockets. They also need the community to help them collect sanitary items for the girls, so that they can distribute to the needy ones.
