Investing in the future

Iain Erasmus educated learners from Eden Park about the strengths, talents and gifts of a leader.

Helping to cultivate the leaders of the future, senior high school learners from Eden Park and the surrounding areas took part in a leadership course presented by Leadership@Vantage.

Iain Erasmus and his team were invited to speak to the learners on the various aspects of being a leader as part of a seven-part course.

“I learnt that to be a leader it takes integrity and to never lose focus,” said Nakishia Durn.

“To be a leader you need to love yourself and be kind to other people,” said Kevin Feldman.

Dallan Bluemeyer extended the invite to Leadership@Vantage. Iain said cultivating the leaders of the future is necessary because in 15 to 20 years they will be the people who will make the difference within the industry where they find themselves.

“We want to empower the individual to lead himself and then others to a productive place. That is what is needed in the community.”

Dallan thanked the principal of Eden Park Secondary and the SGB for giving the learners the opportunity.
