Rosettenville star Cherry Amij Tshibamba releases his second album

Cherry Amij Tshibamba claims in his new album that everything is possible with God.

Rosettenville Cherry Amij Tshibamba announced the release of his second album Here I am, bringing a new soulful, upbeat and exciting sound set to be released on all legal major platforms and selected mobile networks on December 4.

With this album Cherry has one statement which is: “everything you think or imagine is possible with God”.

The story behind this album is his personal journey in responding to the call of God upon his life, as inspired by the life of young Samuel (1 Samuel 3:4) and the paralysed man at the pool of Bethesda (John 5).

All the tracks are written by him as an independent artist. The album was recorded at King-Dav studio of the Engineer David Mutanda with Cherry being the producer.

The album Here I am is composed of five tracks that are all in English with a combination of mixed cultures of Congo and Mexico.

These are:

• Here I am: English, worship, RnB

• Bethesda: English, worship, Mexican slow

• Akuma: English, praise, house mixed with Sebene (Kuasa Kuasa)

• Receive our thanks: English, worship

• Yésu ni wangu: English, Swahili, Congolese jazz (praise) featuring Roger Kabokal.

Cherry said: “While each song varies in tone and style, they all circle back to one truth: music has no boundaries, Here I am reminds us of the love, unity, harmony, and devotion to belong to God.”

Pascal Bialufu, Cherry’s new manager has high hopes for the success of the album.

He said: “Music nowadays only focuses on being a good sound to the ears, but with Here I am it’s all about uplifting the soul and reminding you of your identity. Cherry dedicates this album to his mother and every person fighting for success against all odds.”

Last year Cherry made Rosettenville proud when he won the best movie trailer award at the 1 Minute Film Festival at Ster-Kinekor Cinema Nouveau Rosebank.
