Members of Alberton SAPS prepared to search two schools in Alberton and another in the Elsburg policing area on September 13.
The parade was handled by the Alberton SAPS station commander and after giving the directives to the members on parade, they drove in convoy to Phomola High School to start with their duties. On arrival at the school, members started with the search.

Captain Manare Ramotshela, the spokesperson for Alberton SAPS, said: “School kids are our kids during the time their parents are at work. Teachers and the police are public servants and are always there to assist the community even if their families are not present.
“We also have specialised units on which we can call should a situation turns into a difficult one to handle.”
