Woman dies after found unconscious in Bassonia home
Mondeor SAPS have opened a murder case after a woman succumbed to injuries sustained at her Bassonia home.
A case of murder has been opened at SAPS Mondeor Police Station following the death of a woman aged 57 who was found lying unconscious in a pool of blood at her house in Blouklip Avenue in Bassonia on July 14 at about 19:10.
Joburg District Corporate Communication Coordinator, Lt Col Mpho Tshetlhane, said the woman was rushed to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that she sustained injuries to her upper body. No one has been arrested yet. Police investigations are continuing.
“We appeal to community members with information that might assist police investigations to contact the nearest police station or the police crime stop number 08600 10111 or, alternatively, use the MySAPSApp to provide tip-offs anonymously,” noted Tshetlhane.
