Attend the Eldos speaker jam
Narcotics Anonymous invite those who suffer from addiction to their speaker jam.
The Eldorado Park groups of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) invite those who suffer from addiction or may have a drug problem, as well as impacted community members to the annual Eldorado Park Speaker Jam on November 2 at Eldocrest Primary School, Eldorado Park, Ext 7.
The speakers will share their experiences and how they navigated the road to recovery.
We all have seen and experienced them around us – some on street corners, at traffic lights, some dirty, some clean and socially acceptable, and others well dressed.
We live with some of them. We may treat them indifferently, hate them, love them, or even be in love with them. Like it or not, they are our reality. Addicts come in all forms, shapes, and sizes.
Eldorado Park is no different; many addicts need help.
Their solution can be found in the rooms of NA. This is a fellowship of men and women for whom drugs have become a problem.
They meet regularly to help each other stay clean and swear by the therapeutic value of one addict helping another.
The fellowship itself is not anonymous, but our members participate anonymously, meaning they do not advertise their association for various reasons that may result in unwarranted intrusion and discrimination upon them or their lives.
They carry the message of hope that any addict can stop using drugs, lose the desire to use and find a new way of life. Their own lives are a testament to this bold statement.
The fellowship does not claim any moral high ground on addiction and is not affiliated with or associated with any other organisation.
