Men’s indaba restores respect and dignity in Glenesk

Impactful men’s indaba focused on wellbeing and community.

Men and boys from across the south of Johannesburg came together on August 15 at Emthunzini Lifestyle in Glenesk for the Thetha Ndoda Uphile Men’s Indaba, a gathering centred on the restoration of hope, respect and dignity among males in the community.

The Indaba created a safe space for men to talk openly, listen and support one another.

Issues around well-being, healing, relationships, leadership and building stronger communities were discussed.

Under the theme of restoration of hope, respect and dignity, the event encouraged honest conversations.

The programme focused on four pillars: talk, support, togetherness and transform, with facilitators guiding discussions on how men can contribute positively to their families and communities.

The encouraging conversations were aimed at turning conversations into meaningful action.
