Johannesburg SPCA Charity Shop seeks pre-loved donations for animals in need

One person’s unwanted item can become an animal’s second chance.

The Johannesburg SPCA Charity Shop is calling on members of the community to donate quality pre-loved goods that can be sold in support of the animals in their care.

From clothing and shoes to household goods, books, accessories and other useful items, your unwanted treasures can help provide something far more important – food, veterinary care, shelter and daily care for animals who need us.

Your donation can make a difference

Every day, the Johannesburg SPCA cares for animals who arrive frightened, injured, abandoned or simply in need of a safe place to recover.

Their Charity Shop helps turn generous community donations into much-needed funds that contribute towards this care.

That means the jacket you no longer wear, the book you’ve finished reading, or the household item you no longer need could help provide an animal with a meal, treatment or a warm and safe place to rest.

Instead of gathering dust, give it a second purpose.

What can you donate?

They welcome good-quality, clean and usable items such as:

· Clothing and shoes

· Books

· Handbags and accessories

· Household items and décor

· Kitchenware

· Toys and games

· Jewellery and small accessories

· Suitable furniture and other saleable items

They kindly ask that donated items are clean, safe and in a condition that can be sold. Unfortunately, they cannot accept broken, damaged or heavily soiled goods.

Your generosity helps the Johannesburg SPCA continue providing compassionate care, protection and second chances to animals across the community.
