Living a conscious life!

Living a conscious life means you are actively evaluating your activities, decisions and options.

“When you operate from the place of power, you empower others to be better and more than who they are.” – Veli Ndaba

Living a conscious life means you are actively evaluating your activities, decisions and options. Let me further explain two key words from above: actively evaluating – they mean continuously assessing what works and what doesn’t work. These two words clearly indicate to us that living a life of consciousness, is about continuity and not being passive. It’s about awareness; it’s about being in control over your life and how you’re reacting to situations, keeping in mind that you can’t control and choose what’s happening to you but have a choice on how you respond.

Sadly though, most people don’t seem to fully understand this concept of conscious living or better, they understand it at a superficial level. When you’re in a deep sleep state and dreaming, your subconscious mind takes over and the decisions you’re making are at an unconscious level. In that state, you’re just floating along; the autopilot (automatic program in your subconscious mind) is in charge. That’s the reason you don’t remember what you dreamed of last night, because you weren’t actively involved in what was happening.

I have questions that I continually ask myself to maintain my consciousness, which I believe will help you too and I’ve shared them in my latest book – because of their importance.

The correct way to read these questions is to pause for about a minute, before proceeding to the next one.

The questions are:

1. Where am I going?

2. Am I growing?

3. Where am I now?

4. Where was I five years ago?

5. Where was I ten years ago?

These five questions will maintain your consciousness and help you live a meaningful life.
