Flip that switch

This change happens when someone who has put up with an abusive boss or partner and has had enough and quits.

“I cannot say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are to get better.” – Georg C. Lichtenberg

Knowledge is not power; it is only power when used. Just imagine how many things you know about but you have no results to prove your knowledge of them. How many people who know with precision how to achieve their ideal weight but still don’t have it. Most people know how to attain financial wealth and freedom but are still not wealthy and free.

Change happens when someone becomes sick and tired of being sick and tired. Change happens when someone who has struggled her whole life with her weight finally decides to get fit. This change happens when someone who has put up with an abusive boss or partner and has had enough and quits. The two above examples show that a shift happens when one takes action rather than waiting for something to happen. You can sit around in the dark waiting for the light to come on, or you can get up, walk across the room, and flip the switch yourself.

You may be the one sitting in your dark room watching and admiring your neighbour’s lit rooms because you don’t know that you too have the electric switch which only requires you to stand up, walk across the room, and switch it on. This electricity and energy I am referring to here are your gifts, talents and abilities you haven’t tapped into yet. You’ve got them, you just need to unleash them by flipping the switch.

Most people are not where they would like to be because of the wrong priorities, their focus is on things that don’t serve them well. Review your priorities today and adjust your focus, attention and energy accordingly.
