Recently, 25 women from Reuven Old Age Home were taken to The Glen Shopping Mall and were treated, spoiled and pampered by the staff and learners from the Capax Academy of Excellence College in Auckland Park.
Their exciting and action-packed day started when the women were transported to the college where they were served with a delicious breakfast and each received toiletry gift-packs and were taken to The Glen Shopping Mall where each of the women received a shopping voucher of a whopping R1 000 and were told to buy whatever they desired.
The women were escorted by friendly learners to help them make their shopping spree pleasurable. On their return to Reuven they each received a grocery pack. Many of the ladies agree that never were they pampered and spoilt by total strangers; all of them enjoyed the day thoroughly.
All the ladies wish to express their thanks and appreciation to the principal, staff and learners of Apax Academy of Excellence for their kindness and compassion for having given the elderly women such a great treat.
