WATCH: Youngsters in Kenilworth play for respect of women

Kaliyani Naidoo from sports in Region F said to gain respect you need to give respect.

SCORES of youngsters gathered at a soccer tournament organised by Kenilworth’s Peter Klassen (coach) to play for the respect of women on August 9.

It was a five-team tourney, five-a-side where all 25 youngsters received medals of appreciation. They also received goodie bags and kit sponsored by local business Office Wide, a sustainable Comprehensive Facilities Management Solutions brand.

“This is a fun day for boys and they must enjoy themselves. I would like to thank all the local supermarkets who donated food for the boys and also Office Wide whom we partnered with in this tournament. Thank you to Ward 124 Clr Mongameli Mnyameni for his presence and encouraging words to the boys,” said Klassen.

Kaliyani Naidoo, from sports in Region F, said to gain respect you need to give respect.

Meshack Ngubelanga from Office Wide said, “We cannot go far without respect in the community. Let us have one spirit and give the best.”

All the stakeholders of the tournament, including the 25 youngsters who played on August 9.

Mnyameni said, “This is a special day for women and we thank you for celebrating them. We must respect our sisters and mothers in order to build a better nation for all.”
