Organised in partnership with the Region F Aerobics Interim Committee and supported by the City of Johannesburg, the bootcamp featured a lively programme designed to get participants moving and motivated.
Activities included functional boxing sessions, high-impact aerobics, creative water-bottle workouts, and motivational talks to inspire participants to maintain active lifestyles.

Organisers praised the participants for their commitment and enthusiasm, noting that the activation’s success was driven by strong community support and collaborative effort.
Chairperson of WOMan NPO, Theophellous Chabalala, said: “We appreciate the energy, enthusiasm, and dedication everyone brought to the event. A special thank you to the City of Johannesburg for providing such an excellent facility, and to the aerobics clubs and members of the public who helped make the day a success.”

The Aerobics Activation Bootcamp forms part of a series of fitness engagements leading up to the organisation’s flagship charity initiative, the second annual Run4APeriod, scheduled for June 20.
The upcoming charity event will feature a variety of activities to promote wellness while raising awareness and support for menstrual dignity initiatives. Highlights will include a 3km fun run or walk, an aerobics marathon, a Top 8 pool tournament, and a raffle draw where lucky participants could win a pool table.

The activation also served as a platform to introduce the official registration process for #Run4APeriod’26, with organisers assisting attendees in registering and purchasing raffle tickets for the charity campaign. Momentum is expected to continue building in the coming months, with the next Aerobics Activation Bootcamp scheduled for May 16 at the same venue.
Community members are encouraged to participate in upcoming activities and continue supporting the movement, which combines fitness with social change.
