Park United edge out Cherrians Old Boys

Park United displayed discipline, teamwork, and attacking intent, controlling possession and creating several dangerous opportunities.

THE Park United FC continued their impressive run in the MFA Premier League with a determined 1–0 victory over rivals Cherrians Old Boys FC in an entertaining encounter at Badulla Sports grounds recently.

Park United coach Daylin de Bruine said, “The decisive moment for my team came in the first half, when Luwayne Wagner produced a cracking finish, calmly finding the back of the net after a well-worked attacking move. His clinical strike proved to be the difference between both sides and secured all three points for the team.”

Cherrians Old Boys fought hard in search of an equaliser, but the Park United defence stood firm, producing a resilient performance to keep a clean sheet.
