THE Park United FC continued their impressive run in the MFA Premier League with a determined 1–0 victory over rivals Cherrians Old Boys FC in an entertaining encounter at Badulla Sports grounds recently.

Park United coach Daylin de Bruine said, “The decisive moment for my team came in the first half, when Luwayne Wagner produced a cracking finish, calmly finding the back of the net after a well-worked attacking move. His clinical strike proved to be the difference between both sides and secured all three points for the team.”

From the opening whistle, Park United displayed discipline, teamwork, and attacking intent, controlling possession and creating several dangerous opportunities.

Cherrians Old Boys fought hard in search of an equaliser, but the Park United defence stood firm, producing a resilient performance to keep a clean sheet.

“The victory highlights my club’s growing confidence and determination as we continue to push for success in the league. The supporters are always behind us and I appreciate them,” said De Bruine.
