Police need help in rape probe
THE Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit needs help in locating a 30-year-old man believed to be involved in an alleged rape last year.
On 23 November, 2012 an 18-year-old woman was walking home from church along Ridge View Road in Cato Manor, when she noticed a man following her. Being suspicious she tried to run away, but the man quickly caught up to her. He allegedly told her to sleep on the pavement and then raped her at knifepoint.
He is described as tall, with a slender build, light complexion and bald head. He was wearing a red T-shirt with navy blue jeans at the time of the attack.Anyone with information related to the whereabouts or identity of the man is urged to call investigating officer, Constable S Fynn on 031-203-7334 or 082-930-8615 or Crime Stop on 08600-10111.
