Help bikers ride raise toys

BLUFF bike club ‘Gospel On Da Go’ calls on the community to help make their annual toy run a success.

On Saturday, 7 December the bikers will visit children in need and old age homes in Wentworth and Merebank. They will hand out toys, sweets and food to each child and toiletries and food to the seniors.

Members of the community are urged to get involved, either through donations, or by joining the toy run, which is open to all road users, “including ‘cage drivers’ aka car drivers,” said club president, Dominic Samuels. Anyone willing to give donations should contact Samuels on 079-570-1800.

The group will meet at Southway Mall at noon, to commence the ride at 12.30pm. They will travel through Merebank and Wentworth and close the day off with a gathering on Brighton Beach. Santa Claus will join them on their tour and people are encouraged to dress in festive wear.

“People should join in and enjoy the chance to be involved in giving back to their communities,” said Samuels.
