Chipstead Ave collapse still untouched
Chipstead Avenue still hasn't had repairs nearly three months after it collapsed.

MORE than two-and-a-half months after a section of Chipstead Avenue collapsed, no repairs have commenced and the surrounding land has become less stable, as rain washes away foundations.
On Monday, 3 February a burst water pipe caused a massive landslide, sending debris cascading downhill towards Bayhead. The road, which served as a thoroughfare between King and Frederick avenues was severed and the wall of a property adjacent to the landslide was damaged.
Close to three months later, the road appears less stable and further cracks have developed in the wall. A request emailed to the eThekwini Municipality for information on the status of repair plans was unanswered by the time of going to press.
