Police investigate woman’s murder in Wentworth

The police in Wentworth are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to come forward with information.

A WOMAN (25) was shot and killed near the flats in Weist Road in Wentworth on August 16.

The victim, Tamia Erin Fredericks was a resident from Newlands East.

Police spokesperson Captain Mbuso Gumede said the motive for her murder is still unknown.

“The police are investigating a case of murder. According to the sources or information the victim is from Newlands East. It is unknown whether she was on her way back to Newlands East or visiting when the incident happened,” said Gumede.
