Hikers set out to explore city nature reserves

Meet at the New Germany Nature Reserve at 1.45pm.

DURBAN Ramblers Hiking Club takes a hike to New Germany Nature Reserve on Saturday, 6 September.

Meet at the New Germany Nature Reserve at 1.45pm. The hike is along woodlands and grasslands. Shorter hike will be available. There is a R20 donation towards the upkeep of the reserve. This 9km hike is graded two, moderate.

On Sunday, 7 September visit Stainbank Nature Reserve, Yellowwood Park.

Meet inside the entrance gate (fee R20 per person) at 8am for a hike over grasslands and through coastal forest. Game viewing is guaranteed. There is a bring- and-share braai later to celebrate the first weekend of Spring.

This 12km hike is graded three, strenuous.
