Call for teen volunteers

WECDF calls for more volunteers in the community.

THE Wentworth Early Childhood Development Forum (WECDF) encourages youths to volunteer their services to aid their community.

Volunteers from the Netherlands assisting at Sunbeam ECD centre have inspired the call for volunteers from within the community to step forward.

“It has been a humbling yet so enlightening having these awesome women from the Netherlands volunteer. No matter how young or old you are, it’s never too late to start being a volunteer,” said WECDF member, Romany Roberts.

“We encourage our youth in the community to offer your services as a volunteer at NGOs, ECD centres, children’s homes, hospitals and clinics and start building your CV and changing our community,” she said.

For information on offering your assistance in ECD centres, call Roberts on 031-461-5266.

“We thank the Blue Roof Wellness Centre and Wentworth Trauma Victim Friendly Centre for assisting us with such dedicated, hardworking volunteers,” she said.
