Police seize 123 straws of heroin

DURBAN Flying squad seized heroin and mandrax at a petrol station in Leicester Road, Mobeni on Tuesday, 27 January.
Police received information about drug dealing at the petrol station.

At about 9pm, police stopped a vehicle leaving the station. They searched the car and seized 123 straws of heroin and one madrax tablet. Three men and a woman in the car were arrested and charged for possesion of heroin. They appeared in Wentworth Court on Wednesday, 28 January.

Montclair SAPS management commended the Durban Flying Squad for the swift arrest. “We urge the community to report such cases to the police because they are the cause of crime being committed when they use drugs,” said communications officer, Lt Leopold Jojozi.
