A 16-YEAR-old boy appeared in the Durban juvenile court on Tuesday, 24 March for a robbery he committed in Eagle Hill Road, Yellowwood Park on Monday, 23 March.
The home-owner returned home from work at about 5.20pm and found the home alarm box had been removed. The teen gained access into the home through the roof.
Park Patrol Security searched the premises and caught the boy climbing off the roof. No items had been taken from the home.
The juvenile was arrested by Montclair SAPS, charged for house-breaking and released into his parents’ custody.
Police recently issued an alert for burglaries where access is gained through the roof of the house. “People who are victims of the same modus operandi can come forward and identify the boy,” said communications officer, Lt Leopold Jojozi.
