Stainbank WI hosts Southern Hills AGM

Three judges received 30 year badges - Kay McKee, Hazel Demo and Dawn Cowan. Congratulations.

STAINBANK Women’s Institute (WI) was privileged to hold the Southern Hills AGM at the usual monthly meeting.

Executive member Maureen Lavis introduced the top table before the singing of Unity and the lighting of the memorial candle by the delegates from each WI in the area.

The secretary read out the previous minutes and the treasurer gave the financial report. It was good to know that all the members on the top table were happy to remain. Many thanks to all.

Linda Melson, the judges’ liaison officer, gave her report which called for more judges, and the executive member also gave her report. Then WI was fortunate to have the Federation president, Rosemary Killen, present and she gave an address to all members, calling once again for new members to join the Federation and gave information regarding Congress in September.
