Suburbs are becoming dumping grounds
Note that all rubbish in the Woodlands area is collected on a Monday by DSW.

EDITOR – It is with great disappointment and disgust that I write this letter of complaint
Some residents in and around Pipit Avenue in Woodhaven have taken it upon themselves to use the side of the road opposite the church as their personal dumping ground.
This is both a huge eye-sore and very unhygienic.
Three weeks running, my husband who is 80-years-old and I have taken it upon ourselves to clean up after you and have decided we can’t continue with people’s selfish unhygienic behaviour and further action is required.
Note that all rubbish in the Woodlands area is collected on a Monday by DSW. You as a ratepayer, pay for these services, so why go out of your way to deliberately pollute and destroy the suburb?
Through this behaviour, the pollution is adding to the decay of our beautiful suburb. They are also devaluing the properties and suburb.
There is a fine for illegal dumping. You will be liable for a fine if you dump your refuse on the traffic islands or on the verge or pavements. The residents are working together to catch these people, as we the residents take pride in the suburb we live in.
